thankful/grateful poem

Location :: Tinley Park, Il
Read Time :: 2 minutes

Today was one of those days where I just could not write anything in detail. The message at church consisted of Thankfulness which led to a barrage of beautiful thoughts.   After attempting many times to formulate them, the only way I could construct these thoughts was in poetic format.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

On this day of what is to become
think aback of where your from
remember the joy of the little
and the smile from afar
these small bits are what im made from

a roof though small is above
wood floor uneven lies beneath
clean water arises from basement tanks
skin in mirror fresh and clean
why do i forget you

eardrums ring with melodies
retinas process lights and colors
i can walk
fingers flow robotically
i miss you

she loves me
and i have 4 tires and a steering wheel
how did i miss Picasso painting daily
God still creates today
i think i see you now
