I have a few wicked posts about some humanity visits recently but I caught this video on Twitter the other day and actually clicked the link to watch. I didn’t know who Benny was nor what kind of nonsense I was about to get my eyes into.

I never met Benny Cassette nor the AND1 basketball superstar featured Grayson Boucher AKA “The Professor”. I am a full believer in being YOU. Using the gifts and talents you have and exploding them for the world to see. This feat in itself will be one of the hardest things you will ever do because your pride and your life is on the line. This video clearly defines this collage of humanity jumping way outside the lines to create. What is stopping us from creating?

Who is standing in our way, how much money do we need to attempt our personal Monet exhibition? What kind of people surround us and what sort of whispering darts are they injecting into us? My dad has told me more times than I can remember, “Friends are like buttons on elevators, they will either take you up, or take you down”.

I am not advocating a Benny Cassette or Professor type of lifestyle but I am advocating one which maximizes talent inside the core of YOU. These two maniac jokers have talent and are not afraid to detonate it wherever they can. What do you have that you are too afraid to display?

You see, what happens in life is these talents we speak of slowly ooze out of you as time goes on. You may be a musician, artist, therapist, physician or friend but if you are not pumping life into these talents then by default death steps in. This is my own personal opinion, but I believe the skills you possess when not efficiently maximized become extracted from you and injected into another. Take a look around you at overqualified people still saying “I remember when … “

Go Big! Advance your skills, defy all odds, hurt yourself doing it, enjoy sleepless nights, laugh at days when you have no food to eat, cry when you see progress and in those moments when your eyelids shut ask God to let you dream bigger and better. These are the moments that build the giant you have within to build the road toward your destiny. If you do not, someone else will.
