Can’t say I would ever imagine one of my favorite men’s magazines picking up a story concerning church. I was nervous at first to open up the front cover. I obviously looked around to see if anyone was watching. I mean, it is Zac Efron on the cover. He is not exactly one of those guys you look at and say, “Ya, Zac seems like a fly dude.”  You don’t just pick up the magazine when someone that – good – looking is on it as a male reader. A few weeks back I noticed an announcement at church about baptism. Let’s be honest, 90% of the  church announcements displayed I am on my phone either checking twitter or my Espn app. Don’t ask why, you do the same thing.

We all know church news and announcements are  transitional fillers. No one could possibly remember a church news announcements when they only watch it 1x every 7 days. I woke up this morning with zero apprehension concerning this iphone 4 epidemic (Wired News). I did wake up to drive to the local Cadillac dealer to have a recall (heated washer fluid system HWFS) fixed. As I approached the Rizza Cadillac service entrance at 8:05am I was pleasantly surprised with the long line of cars ahead of me.

For a second I thought Cadillac was giving away the Iphone 4 with all cars requiring maintenance today. This would make more sense as GM attempts to lure ANY new customers. By the way, the service department here is #Fail. Atrocious, which is why for a split second I thought Rizza would pull an amazing iPhone 4 stunt. Read the rest of this entry »

Is your church a halfway house also known as recovery house or sober house? I can hear those little whispers crawling out of your ear with a confused look as they mutter, church – sober – house? This is not an endorsement for churches to start a revolution toward sober houses or rehab centers but instead to evaluate if they operate in similar fashion?

We would never classify church as a cult right? That sort of stuff only applies to David Koresh (Branch Davidians), Marshall Applewhite (Heaven’s Gate) a few recent wackos on CNN or most recently, disciples of a cult leader in Jerusalem abusing little boys.

I can hear your little cortex brains spinning and yelling, Yah! cult people are crazy and they are absolutely insane. Can’t believe they do stuff like that to people.
